The Terminator is about a machine teleported to Earth with a
mission to kill John Connor. Because of its age the special effects weren’t amazing.
However, back in the day, they would have been like today’s Transformers or
Marvel films. This is Arnold ’s
most famous role he plays in any movie and he does a pretty good job acting as
an emotionless robot.

Slumdog Millionaire: 7/10
Slumdog Millionaire was a good movie but not great. This
movie got a lot of hype ad when I saw it I was happy I did but it wasn’t
anything like it was hyped up to be. The boy does a great job acting in this
movie considering how young he is. The movie is cool because it flashes back
between the past and the present. However, I didn’t find the plot to be
anything special.
Monsters Inc: 9/10
Monsters Inc. is my favorite animated movie ever made. The
cinematic value of the movie is unreal for an animated film. Mike Wazoski’s
voice was chosen perfectly with John Goodman. In fact, they all are. The plot
is also one of the best around. It’s clever, funny, and entertaining; all of
the best aspects of a film in one.
No Country for Old Men: 9/10
No Country for Old Men is about a man who gets caught up
with the wrong people in a drug deal and ends up having a serial killer chasing
him. This is one of my favorite movies. The acting in it is some of the best
around and the serial killer is probably my third favorite villain in any
movie.
The Hangover: 6/10
The Hangover is about a group of four guys who have a
bachelor party, but end up waking up not remembering a single thing from the
night before. Cinematically the movie is not the best but it is quite funny. I
enjoyed the first Hangover but the second was a disaster. I would not recommend
it.

Warrior: 7/10
Warrior follows two brothers who are both involved in
fighting. They have a broken family life and they end up fighting each other in
the UFC Championship. The plot is great and the acting is also exceptional
starring Tom Hardy and Nick Nolte. However, the filming seems to struggle and I
did not like as much as it was hyped up to be.
Reservoir Dogs: 8/10
Reservoir Dogs follows a group of men who attempt to rob a jewelry
store. The plan fails miserably and the surviving members of the clan re-group
and must figure out the rat of the group. This is one of the most intense
movies ever made and gives the viewer so much emotion. The members begin to
turn on each other and it leaves the viewer to discover the mystery on their
own.
The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King: 9.5/10
The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King is the best of the
trilogy movies, which is probably the only series that has accomplished this.
The war at the end of the movie is The Best battle ever made. It is
stunning and will always be my favorite. This is in my top five movies. Frodo’s
attachment to the ring gets more and more extreme and is portrayed excellently.
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers: 9.2/10
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers continues to follow
Frodo and the clan on their mission to destroy the ring. The end battle is one
of the best war scenes ever put on tape. Not only is the action fantastic but
the characters are even more developed. The film is a masterpiece and is rare
because most sequels aren’t better than the first.
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring: 9/10
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring is the
first of the greatest trilogies ever produced. It is a great opener to the
series and establishes all of the characters very well. The cast is exceptional
and the special effects are great. The movie has some of the best war scenes
ever made and also gets the viewer emotionally attached.

Taken: 8/10
Taken is a classic action movie and always will be. Liam
Neeson is an unstoppable agent who travels to Europe
to save his daughter being sold as a sex slave. His perseverance and skills are
what makes the movie so special. His “skills” he acquired from working for the
government are astonishing. Although the plot is highly unlikely, the movie is
still a great action film.
Schindler's List: 9/10
Schindler’s List follows a man who sympathizes for The Jews
during the Holocaust but must keep his views quiet. The movie follows him and
his struggles to try and save his workforce from misery. This is one of the
most powerful movies ever made and is strongly recommend for everyone to see.
The Avengers: 8.5/10
The Avengers. A classic of all the Marvel movies ever made. If
you want action, this is the movie you’re looking for. The special effects and
action are some of the best ever produced. Not only is the editing great, but
the plot is actually pretty decent for a movie like this. The cast is also
quite strong in their roles. This is a must see for any Marvel fan.
Iron Man 3: 7/10
Iron Man 3 has spectacular special effects and editing; some
of the best around. However, I did not like the plot very much. I think they
got a little too carried away with his technology and it seemed like he was an
unstoppable force. I enjoyed the first much better but like always, Robert
Downey Jr. plays Tony Stark brilliantly. Without him, the movie would be
nothing.
127 Hours: 8/10
127 Hours follows a climber who ventures out on his own and
gets stuck between a boulder. Although the movie has basically only one
character, James Franco can make it work. His mind begins to go insane while he
is stuck and he makes it so emotional. The plot is very moving and brings a lot
of emotion into the viewer.
American Gangster: 11/10 "Perfect"
Thinking about it now, American Gangster is my favorite movie
of all time with Django Unchained following close behind. Denzel Washington
does an amazing job as Frank in this movie. The thing that really makes the
movie great is how it keeps the viewer guessing whether or not he’s a good guy.
Although he is the biggest heroin smuggler in Chicago , he has a good heart.

300: 8/10
300 is about an army of 300 elite Spartans who face the
entire Persian army. The movies special effects are some of the best around.
Not only is the action great but Gerard Butler does a phenomenal job acting as
their leader. The way the movie is filmed is very differently which makes is
really interesting.
Catch Me If You Can: 8.5/10
Catch Me If You Can is about a young con man and a tenacious
officer who has dedicated his life to the arrest of him. Leo and Tom Hanks do
great together as opposing forces. The plot of the movie is splendid because it
is difficult to form a bias for either side. In the end you begin to cheer for
the con man because of his family situation.

Flight: 6/10
Flight is about a
drunk pilot who safely crashes a plane while intoxicated. Denzel
Washington does a great job as normal but they plot gets extremely boring at
some points. The film gets too focused on the politics of the crash other than
the pilot’s personal journey. Without Denzel, the film would be total garbage.
Lord of War: 8/10
Lord of War is about an underground arms dealer who gets
caught up with the wrong people. This is my favorite Nicholas Cage movie by
far. He does a great job as both a good and bad character because he keeps the
viewer guessing about whether or not he’s good. The action and special effects
are also great.
The Dark Knight Rises: 8.5/10
The Dark Knight Rises is the last movie in the Batman series
about the villain Bane. Bane is played by Tom Hardy who does an exceptional job
as the villain. The cast is great and the plot is one of the best. Bane makes
the movie what it is and without him it would not be as good as it is.
The Book of Eli: 8.5/10
The Book of Eli follows a blind man in times of chaos who is
in possession of the last Bible intact. He faces many different troubles along
his journey. The world that is generated in the movie makes it very interesting
and ending where it is made clear about his blindness makes it that much
better.
The Departed: 9/10
The Departed is about a group of men involved in crime.
Little do they know a rat is reporting everything they do. This movie has the
best cast of any film ever made and the acting is unbeatable. The plot is also
great and keeps the viewer on the edge of his seat at all times.
The Shining: 8/10
The Shining is about a man who goes crazy taking care of a
hotel with his family. Jack Nicholson does an absolutely amazing job acting as
a crazy man in this movie. The plot can be a little slow at times and I’m not a
huge fan of horror-like movies but this film was an exceptional film.
